Hamstring Strain Injury Rehabilitation - 11 April, 2018
SCA is pleased to present their next webinar for 2018 titled, Hamstring Strain Injury Rehabilitation, presented by Dr Jack Hickey.
After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) at RMIT University and Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University in 2012, Jack became an ESSA accredited exercise physiologist (AEP).
Hamstring injuries are the leading cause of time lost from play in sports involving high speed running.
Rehab of a “typical” hamstring strain injury tends to last between 2 to 4 weeks. However, one of the main difficulties with hamstring strain injuries is that they are not always “typical”. For this reason, thorough initial and ongoing clinical assessment is needed along with a structured and criteria-based rehabilitation protocol to ensure each individual hamstring strain injury is managed appropriately.
In this webinar Jack will discuss his recent research examining the rehabilitation of hamstring injuries.
