CPD Assessment of Formal Learning Activities

CAA is proud to be an appointed assessor of Chiropractic Continuing Professional Development in Australia.

Criteria has been established by the Chiropractic Board of Australia (CBA) that program providers must meet in order to be considered for CPD assessment.

• Independent program provider - $220

Assessed programs may be reassessed periodically, to ensure ongoing compliance with CBA requirements.

Assessment applications and any associated documentation are kept in strict confidence, and are used only for the purposes of this assessment.

Below are the 3 steps that need to be taken by a program provider to have a program assessed.

Step 1: Meeting the Criteria

Please read the documents below to ensure you meet the ‘Criteria for “Approved Bodies” Assessment of Formal Learning Activities’. This criteria has been set by the Chiropractic Board of Australia (CBA) and can be found on their website.

Read the Competency Based Standards for Entry Level Chiropractors (for clarification and eligibility for formal learning activities) > (note: Competency Units 3.1, 4.1, 4.2 and 5.1 are excluded as Formal Learning)

Step 2: Submitting Formal Learning Activities for Assessment

To assist you to complete the Application for Program Assessment Form we have provided a worksheet.  Use this worksheet to formulate your responses before completing the online form.

Submit your Formal Learning Activity for CPD assessment by CAA by complete our online submission form, which requires you to complete information in line with the criteria set by the CBA.

Step 3: Confirming Formal Learning Activity Attendance/Satisfactory Completion

Within 14 days of your program being completed, you must provide CAA with a complete attendance summary, providing evidence of attendance and completion of post-course assessment by attendees at your program. Email your completion records to professionalservices@caa.asn.au
